Coombe Mill Farm
This is a private 30 acre hamlet of 19 cottage and lodge self catering properties between Bodmin Moor and the beach. Magical family holidays from babies to grandparents.
Coombe Mill is set up for young families from the facilities in the properties to the daily farm rides to feed the animals. Enjoy hands on learning with child friendly animals from miniture donkeys to pigmy goats, chickens and rabbits.
The farm is fun for everyone all year round. Woodlands, meadows, gardens, play areas, fishing lakes and river fishing complete the outdoor activties while grocery deliveries and home cooking make light work of self catering.

After a day out exploring the Cornish countryside, there is always the calm of Coombe to which you can return. An opportunity to relax while the children catch up with new friends, visit their favourite animals together, go fishing or simply play amidst the beautiful grounds and purpose built play areas.
Indoor Play Barn
The indoor play barn is ideal for all weather fun. A safe, fully padded soft play area and separate indoor little tikkes climbing equipment for young children to enjoy.
Outdoor Play Areas
There are two out door play areas, one with ride on toddler trikes and tractors and the other with play fort, swing, slides, zip wire and full size play tractor
All the young children and toddler play areas are safely fenced making play time much more relaxing for parents.
The Cottages

Originally a 16th Century water mill, Coombe Mill is now a beautiful and secluded hamlet of picturesque holiday cottages, Scandinavian and riverside lodges set amidst an idyllic private estate between Bodmin Moor and the Beach.
Enjoy all the best of farm life, family tractor rides 6 days a week to feed the animals. All supervised and safely managed by Farmer Nick and Ted. A magical outdoor experience for the kids. Watch them learn and grow confidence on the working farm, no baby too young or grandparent too old! The joys of collecting your own eggs, petting and feeding pigmy goats, baby lambs, miniature donkey’s and much more is both fun and educational. With indoor and outdoor play areas and 30 acres to explore there is plenty keep young minds busy.
The relaxing sound of the river Camel and its’ tributaries meander through the estate. This and our secluded fishing lake will keep any holiday angler busy by day or night.
Coombe Mill is family owned and run by parents who understand the needs of young children. Outdoor safety and home from home facilities are carefully combined with a sense of freedom and adventure for the children. Tucked away in a lush woodland valley, you will sense the peace and tranquility from the moment you arrive. We even boast our own fresh spring water supply which makes the perfect cold drink or cup of tea.
Coombe Mill's location, in St Breward near Bodmin, makes us an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. Just a short drive from Coombe is the spectacular North Cornish coast with its towering cliffs, pure white sandy beaches and pretty harbour villages.
Scandinavian Lodges
Magnificent Views Towards the River.
Designed for today’s modern family, Eden, Heligan and Pencarrow are new contemporary and spacious properties. With luxury leather sofas and cosy wood burners for chilly evenings, the fixtures and fittings are of the highest specification including a modern fashionable kitchen with the latest home from home appliances. They sleep 7 in 3 or 4 bedrooms. All have en-suite master bedrooms and a separate family bathroom.
Riverside Lodges
The riverside lodges at Coombe Mill all have beautiful views over the river and valley and are surrounded only by lawns and woods ensuring tranquil peace and quiet. All have sunny verandas and their own garden furniture.
There are three sizes of Riverside Lodges, to sleep 6, 4 or 2 people. Each has a lounge/dining area, full size bathroom with overhead shower and double bedroom. Lodges sleeping 4 can also have a choice of twin beds or bunk beds with space for a cot.
These properties are small and compact but make a great holiday base at affordable prices all year round in the heart of the Coombe Mill Estate.
Excellent Free Fishing
Free fishing is available all year round for the exclusive use of our guests but guests must hold an appropriate rod licence. We have a fishing lake and private river fishing along the banks of the River Camel. There are few limitations on the type of tackle or bait you use or the time of day or night you choose to fish, just come and enjoy!
